Rose ARPH #13534

Rose is a LOVELY senior Aussie girl that was rescued off the euthanasia list in the nick-of-time! She is approximately 9-10 years old and was in rough medical shape when she first came to us (emaciation, hairloss, bacterial infections, etc), but her amazing foster parents have gone above and beyond to get her in tip-top shape! She is now fully-vetted and actively searching for her forever home!

Rose is house-broken, leash-trained, and gets along beautifully with other dogs (of either sex). Rose is a low-key girl that does not have high-maintenance exercise needs, as a simple walk and playtime in the yard will do for her. She has been started in basic nose-work classes and is a natural! She really enjoys it and is the star of the classroom! She also has some really endearing behaviors; for example, she does a precious "pitter patter" dance with her front feet when it is dinner time!

Rose is patiently hopeful that a family somewhere out there will look past her age to the adorable, loving character she possesses and would be willing to provide her with a permanent home for the rest of her life. After all, age is just a number, right!? (PS - she is a BIG TIME snuggle-bug!)

Rose is located in Georgetown, TX and it is REQUIRED that you travel there to meet her in person to adopt. If you're interested or have any questions (and have already completed our Adoption Application), please contact Kim Griswold at kimgriswold@att.net - (Please allow 24-48 hours for a response). Thank you!

Turner ARPH #13892

This sweet, gentle soul is an approximately 8-9 year old blue merle male we've named Turner. He was picked up as a stray in Corsicana, TX and was never reclaimed... which is a terrible shame, as Turner was clearly a beloved pet once before. He came to our program already neutered, and knows how to sit, shake (with both paws), lay down, and roll over. He is totally house-broken, has wonderful manners, and walks beautifully on a leash. He also has evidence of a prior hip surgery, something that is very expensive! We wish Turner could tell us his story so we could track down the person who put so much time and love into him.

We have been administering long-term treatment to Turner for advanced heartworms through a "slow-kill method" - what that means is we are slowly allowing the worms to die off by stopping their reproduction cycle instead of the standard "injection treatment" that kills the worms right away. We chose this method due to the stage and severity of his infection - X-rays show that he has permanent damage from them and our Vets were concerned about his ability to physically handle the usual course of treatment. Through no fault of his own, it has come to our realization that Turner will always need to be on a medicinal protocol to help control and maintain his comfort level... but we know he has plenty of life left in him and he has shown us he can be comfortable and happy. So we are looking for a home that will not hold his medical needs (or his age) against him and provide him with a loving retirement home!

(PS: X-rays also showed that he had been shot before.... so whatever happened between his first owner and ending up in the shelter system, we may never know.)

Turner may be an older gent and have some medical issues, but that does not make him any less deserving of a home. He is a super easy guy to live with, requiring nothing but a soft doggy bed, regular meal times, gentle walks, and a lot of love.

Could you give Turner everything he has always deserved?

Turner is located in Bedford, TX and it is required that you travel there to meet him in person to adopt, no exceptions. We do need the entire party to be involved when meeting available dogs, including every family member and dog(s) that currently live in your home.

If you have already completed an adoption application and have additional questions not addressed in the bio above, please contact Turner's Rep, Laura Bates-Kempf, at aussie330@aol.com (Please allow 48 hours for a response). Thank you!

Todd ARPH #13583

Todd is a handsome red-head Australian Shepherd male that lost his home when his owner passed away. He was rescued off the streets by a friendly neighbor who then contacted our organization. Todd is approximately 3-4 years old and has a pure heart of gold!

This sweet boy is housebroken, crate-trained, and leash-trained. He absolutely adores people! He is a true velcro-Aussie with a very solid, stable temperament. He has met, interacted, and played with countless other dogs during his time in our program and behaves famously with all of them... with the exception of only one. We believe this difference of opinion stemmed from both of them falling into the same position within the pack and Todd feels there is room for only one supreme shadow/snuggler! Simply a personality conflict with these two individuals, but it will be important for Todd to have his own role in the house if there are other canine members in the home of his potential future family.

He is a reliable, fun, sweet boy that would enjoy a family that wants to make him a part of their everyday life. He will need continued training, as any dog would, to ensure the foundation work his foster parents have started remain permanent. He knows how to sit and stay, and they have broken his habit of trying to dart out the door. He will need continued training for nail trims. He is NOT bird/fowl friendly, but he is cat-tolerant.

Todd is a lovely dog that would love nothing more than to find his forever family!

Todd is located in Austin, TX and it is REQUIRED that you travel there to meet her in person to adopt. If you're interested or have any questions (and have already completed our Adoption Application), please contact
Laura Bates-Kempf, at aussie330@aol.com (Please allow 24-48 hours for a response). Thank you!

Duncan ARPH #13586

Duncan is still a youngster in a big, handsome body! This approximately 15-18 month old black tri male is an easy-going house companion --- totally house-broken, fully vetted, and crate-trained. He is still working on his leash-breaking skills, however.

Duncan does well with other dogs of similar size that like to play and run. He enjoys a good game of fetch but is still learning the benefits of bringing it back every time. It is unknown how Duncan does around cats and currently, he is too big and goobery to do well in a home with small children... so kids that are 10+ would be best. While he has a lower energy level for a young Aussie, he can still be a little naughty at times... stealing a shoe here or there, and trying his hand at counter-surfing. A family that understands he is still learning will be necessary for Duncan to thrive.

This sweetheart is just waiting for the perfect family! Please submit an application for consideration!

Duncan is located in Bedford, TX and it is required that you travel there to meet him in person to adopt, no exceptions. We do need the entire party to be involved when meeting available dogs, including every family member and dog(s) that currently live in your home.

If you have already completed an adoption application and have additional questions not addressed in the bio below, please contact Duncan's Rep, Laura Kempf, at aussie300@aol.com (Please allow 48 hours for a response). Thank you!

Ranger ARPH #13512

This sweet, smiling face belongs to Ranger.... a somewhat older gent that was turned over to our program when his loving owner was diagnosed with leukemia. Ranger has been very well taken care of and possesses a stable, loving temperament that is a joy to be around!

Ranger will make some person or family very lucky, so long as they are willing to look past a number!

Ranger is located in Justin, TX and it is required that you travel there to meet him in person to adopt, no exceptions. We do need the entire party to be involved when meeting available dogs, including every family member and dog(s) that currently live in your home.
